Leaves from courtyards can be left in bags beside the containers on collection days. Burning leaves in the city is not allowed.

Winter tyres: marshrutka inspections from 16 November
The Transport and Roads Department and the traffic police will check marshrutkas at the Central Bus Station and the Semiz terminus. Vehicles without winter tyres lose their route licence until they are fitted.
City Council meets on 12 November
On the agenda: the 2027 city budget (first reading), winter road maintenance and the marshrutka route licences for 2027. The session is open to the public.
Mayor visits boiler house No. 6 in Semiz
Mayor Erkin Asanbaev inspected the reconstructed boiler house No. 6 with Talas Jylu Tarmaktary engineers and councillor Andrés Ochoa Kaparov. Two new boilers will heat 41 blocks in Semiz and the Western Corridor this winter.
Liberty Boulevard winter lights from 1 December
The lights will be switched on at 18:00 on 1 December and stay on until the end of the New Year holidays.
